Ringing in the 4th of July, a federal judge granted an injunction that the Biden administration violated the 1st Amendment when they worked with social media companies to censor their opposing viewpoints. Judge Terry A. Doughty of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana did not hold back in his ruling. As reported by the Washington Post, he decried the censorship as “Orwellian.”
He followed up by proclaiming the case presented by Republican attorney generals of Louisiana and Missouri “have produced evidence of a massive effort by Defendants, from the White House to federal agencies, to suppress speech based on its content.” This ruling now bars members of the Biden administration from working with social media companies. Specific emphasis was placed on officials from the Department of Health and Human Services and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Judge Doughty included contact for “the purpose of urging, encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech,” per the New York Times. It does allow for contact when it regards the commission of a crime, foreign propaganda, and threats to national security as well, per the paper.
Given the left’s ability to call everything foreign propaganda, they still have the same loophole open for interference in what you see on social media that existed before. They love calling everything foreign propaganda, it’s almost like North Korea at times with how badly the Biden administration is trying to censor the media and keep the mainstream media riding solidly on the liberal tracks.
The lawsuit alleged that Biden administration officials had crossed a line, especially as they pushed vaccines, as well as election integrity, according to the Washington Post. They described their offenses as “the most egregious violations of the First Amendment in the history of the United States of America.” The final ruling from Doughty has not yet been reached, it can still finally stop the machine of propaganda the Biden administration claims is all about national security.
This has never been a case about national security, and the Biden administration, as well as the entire Democratic Party, have known that they have been in denial. The American people deserve the truth and the reality of what is going on in the world. As the left continues to try and push their narrative on us, more and more suspicious things keep happening. The amount of heavily redacted, censored, and covered-up information is ridiculous at this point.
Under this new ruling, hopefully, the Biden administration will get the point and stop meddling in the information the American people have access to and how they do things. Perhaps we can finally return to the days of a free and open American press. We are long overdue for the kind of truth overload that the left has been choking the American people off from.
It will destroy their basis and erode the bedrock of their voter base. But that’s what happens when you build a party on lies, deceit, and taking advantage of people through guilt and trying to force their agenda on the American people. A house built with a sad foundation will shift with the first storm, and they haven’t had this kind of soaking rain in ages. It’s time for them to shift and for the American people to get the truth.
By getting us to back off from trying to be like North Korea, Biden might finally be exposed and be forced out of politics. Something that was long overdue but somehow had not happened yet. As the American people wait to see how this ruling will impact their social media, one thing is for certain- Republicans should have a much more level playing field in the 2024 elections, and that could spell out one hell of a red wave.
