Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) addressed the mayors of New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., on November 19th. Mincing no words, he is throwing the full weight of his support behind another four years of President Trump. Stoking the fires to send the Trump Train barreling down the tracks, he gave one of the most emphatic endorsements to date.

“You need a new president. Joe Biden has failed at national security. We need a president that will secure the border. We need Donald J. Trump back as our President of the United States of America. We need a president who is going to secure the border.”

Simply put, “I’m here today to officially proclaim my endorsement for Donald J. Trump to be President of the United States of America, again. Joe Biden is causing a potential terror threat in the United States of America. A president has one ultimate responsibility and that’s national security. Joe Biden has failed at national security. Well, I’m here to tell you that there is no way, no way that America can continue under the leadership of Joe Biden as our president.”

In a tit-for-tat sort of response, Trump ensures Abbott that once he returned to office the problems for Texas would begin to dry up. “I am going to make your job much easier. We love Texas…You’re not going to have to worry about the border anymore, governor. You’re not going to have to worry about the border in Texas or Arizona or anywhere else.”

These remarks come shortly after the duo hosted an early Thanksgiving with Border Patrol and National Guardsmen assigned to the border. Addressing them, Abbott declared that they should be home with their families, but thanks to Biden and his policies they were stuck there. As if Abbott was sending them reluctantly or with any reservation, he used this platform to help endorse Trump to them.

Now as the fifth currently serving governor to climb aboard, Abbott joins Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Attorney General Ken Paxton, Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, and Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller on the Texas Trump 2024 team.

Back in 2020, Trump took 52% of the vote with 5.6 million votes in the Lone Star State during that unsuccessful reelection campaign. While the border was a huge mess during that election, Biden’s message of ending Title 42 was being pushed as a step towards erasing racism and hatred and painted Trump and other Republicans in a bad light. While the people of Texas could see the truth, and then voted for Trump, much of the nation took these liberals at face value.

Now that they are seeing the harsh realities that come with a pro-Biden ticket, they cannot stomach what they did to the nation. Many are coming to terms with the idea that not everything in the world is racially motivated. That you shouldn’t feel guilty for being born a certain color, or for being born American. Instead, it’s something that you should embrace and be proud of.

Under Biden’s time in office, the American people have watched the economy be run into the ground. Our withdrawal from Afghanistan was horrific, deadly, and left Americans stranded. A disastrous end of Title 42 opened the floodgates, and do-good cities like Chicago and NYC which want to be sanctuaries for them have made a mess. With a lack of resources and tax-paying residents leaving, they are finding themselves up a creek without a paddle.

Climbing aboard the Trump Train is a smart move for Abbott. Trump is steamrolling these allegations and charges. As the political machine does its best to keep him down, and the liberal voice loud, he continues to buck. It’s been said that when the government wants someone silenced, they probably should be listened to the most. Abbott is ensuring Trump is well heard in his state, and thank God for that.
