Former First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on an episode of Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast that aired on January 8th. Addressing the elephant in the room, Obama expressed her fear at Barack losing his control if Joe can’t stay in the White House.
The Former First Lady was brutally honest:
“I am terrified about what could possibly happen.”
She continued on, explaining why she is so terrified…
“Because our leaders matter. Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit — it affects us in ways that sometimes, I think, people take for granted. The fact that people think that: ‘Government, does it really even do anything?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my God, does government do everything for us.’ We cannot take this democracy for granted. And sometimes, I worry that we do. Those are the things that keep me up.”
As it is, her husband told the Wall Street Journal back in November that he’s afraid of the prospects of Joe Biden losing the upcoming election. With Trump looking to be a dead ringer to secure the GOP nomination in November, Michelle issued a directed message without naming him.
“The tone and tenor of the message matters. We can’t just say the first thing that comes to our minds. That is not authenticity to me. That’s childish, and we see childish leadership right before us — what that looks like and how that feels, where somebody is just base and vulgar and cynical in a leadership position. It doesn’t trickle down well. That just begets more of that.”
Her spouting off at the mouth about things trickling down is hilarious. Despite the best efforts of her husband and the left, it doesn’t work for economics or anything else. Leaders need to lead, and unlike Barack or Joe, The Donald can and did lead. He was the leader the American people needed, and without him, America has suffered greatly.
